CATAMARAN IN BENALMADENA
History
Oceanic was born in the heart of the Costa del Sol in Benalmadena, at the same moment the marina was being built. Its founder, J.M Rubiales, a man in love with the ocean and fan of all maritime activities, in 1992 starts with the OCEANIC, a Yacht for fishing trips and the first charter boat in the port.
In 2001, from San Andres California (US) we get the SEA WITCH, a classic Formosa wood schooner of 22 tons and with capacity for 16 pax.
Time changes tastes and interests, and in order to adapt to the requirements of our customers, in 2007 we got our current ship: the DRAGON DE ORO, a beautiful luxury sail catamaran with capacity for 25 pax and manufactured especially for us by LAGOON.
Focused on customer experience, OCEANIC prides itself on being a pioneer in this industry in Benalmadena, being the first and most experienced, charter boat company in the Port of Benalmadena.
Today, we are a 29 years old solid company, committed with our customers and our community and contributing to sustainable development of tourism in the Costa del Sol, and always looking forward to the future.
Our boat
Our boat is a full luxury and comfort LAGOON ® Sail Catamaran with capacity for 25 passengers and 2 crew members, with many facilities:
- Covered terrace with comfortable seats to be protected from the sun
- Solarium in the front perfect to get a sun bath and chill
- A swimming platform, providing easy access to the sea, the bathing platform, which features a shower, very practical after taking a refreshing dip in the ocean.
- WC.
Our Crew
Our crew have all the official certifications and professional degrees required to exercise their duties and work as a captain and a sailor.
Our Captain has more than 16 years of experience and besides the official degree of Coastal vessel captain required, also is trained in maritime safety and security, International Radio G MDSS, Sanitary and healthcare, maritime rescue, fire-fighting training, oversea survival, diving, among others.
Our sailor has more than 5 years of experience and is also trained in maritime safety and security, sanitary and healthcare.
Maritime safety
Safety come first. We guarantee a safe and secure sail to our customers, always sailing only when the weather and sea conditions guarantee the safety and wellness of our passengers.
We insure full compliance of our obligations, and official requirements to work. we adequately pass every year, all the technical control inspections of the corresponding Maritime Authorities.
Our ship has the best navigation equipment and technology required to work safely, such as:
- GpsMap Multifunction and Radar.
- Automatic pilot and Tridata system screen.
- Automatic A.I.S. system.
- Radio GM600 VHF GMDSS (SOLAS) y VHF Portable (SOLAS).
- Emergency and maritime rescue equipment.
- Fire-fighting autonomous complete system.
- First Aid Kit Type C (SOLAS).
- Life-jackets for every passenger and automatic life-raft.
